Hi all,
Here's the dictation for this Wednesday.
Unit 8: James and the Giant Peach
I find fantasy novels very enjoyable. There are usually amazing characters in them. Sometimes I find a novel so interesting that I forget to eat or sleep. I curl up in a cosy corner and forget about time altogether. My family members have to search for me. I get annoyed when people disturb me while I’m reading a favourite novel! (60 words)

Racial Harmony Day

Hello boys and girls,

What a tiring day! My ears are tired from all the noise, my eyes are tired from counting the money...
Do you know how much did we make? We make a total of S$420.95!!! Congratulations!!!

The money collected are from class donations (Yee Ching has the most amount donated, arigato gozaimas), coupons from the old folks home and the money from the sales of satay, bandung, water chestnut drink, packet drinks, coca-cola canned drinks and snacks (by Samuel and Jia Yi).

My heartiest thank YOUs to all that have helped in one way or another. I hope the Geylang Senior citizens home will find the donations very helpful.

A bag of laughs

What makes you laugh? Which do you like best, riddles, poems or jokes? What is the most unusual poem you have ever read? What is the funniest joke you have ever read? What is the funniest joke you have ever heard? Some people are really good at telling jokes. They can keep a straight face while telling one, and surprise you with a silly ending.
